95/366
My IR filter for my old D70 arrived yesterday. Been shooting digital IR for years, with a filter on the front of the lens, but this is a more elegant solution. The D70 is very easy to convert to full time IR. Took about 15 minutes. The camera took a fall last year and has intermittently stopped recording photos to the card after they have been exposed. It is doing it again, so it needs to be sent in for service. Looooong out of warranty anyway, but will be nice to have it back in the kit of goodies and full time IR for more flexibility. The temporary white gaffer's tape over the right side of the camera body is to keep anything from touching the capacitor connections or wiring. www.lifepixel.com

Hopefully Nikon wont rip you too badly getting it repaired. Good luck.

If too expensive to repair, I can always go the eBay route and buy another used one cheap.
Order your own conversion!

The largest Nikon service center in the US gave me a quote of a minimum of $250 and a max quote of $325 based on what I described as what goes wrong with it. Now I will search the eBay route and see what I can get a used D70 for and convert that one instead maybe.
