Introduction |

This Web site if for Martin Bailey Photography Web site members only. I'm working on enabling users to access this site using the main site's credentials, but until I manage that, users will need to register with this site separately. If you do register, please use the same username and email address that you use in the main site. This will help me to identify you, and also make it easier to join the two sites later. I apologise for this additional procedure and am trying to complete the cookie sharing as quickly as possible.
I would like members to keep this gallery for artistic photography or images to share with other members for discussion. Please don't upload family or pet snaps etc. to share with friends and family, unless they are in some way artistic.
I have limited each user to 100MB of data. Each image can be a maximum size of 800 pixel wide or high, and the file size can be no more than 250KB. I suggest you check the effect of compression as you prepare your images, and select the highest compression possible before the effects are visible in the image. Usually compression 8 will be fine, and will allow you to upload more images. If all of your images are not compressed much and the file size is 250KB for each, you will run out of space at around 400 images. If you compress each image to around 125KB though, you will be able to upload 800.
Create your first album. Before you can upload your first photo after registering, you need to click "Create / order my albums" from the orange admin menu that will appear when you're logged in. Please do not assign any keywords to your new or existing album. Keywords in albums will automatically add other images, including those of other members to that album. IF YOU ALREADY HAVE ALBUM KEYWORDS, PLEASE REMOVE THEM. Keywords for individual images are fine and indeed encouraged to enable better image searching. Once you have your first album you will be able to upload images. Based on member's wishes, an upload limit of two images per 24 hours has been imposed. If you do not agree with this, please discuss in the MBP Forum.
Note: I will remove any photographs that I find in bad taste, i.e. containing but not restricted to unnecessary nudity or violence. If you notice anything obusive or inappropriate, please click on the speech balloon above the image to report it to me.

| Critique AlbumsTo add your image to a Critique album, edit your images properties and add the Critique album's name to the images keywords. This will automatically display it under the album of that name. You can also upload images directly if you do not want to upload them to your own galleries, (i.e. it's really not very good and you just want advice on how it might have been improved), but please do not upload duplicates. If you upload to your own album, use the keyword instead.
Note: Adding images here is "an indication" that you would like to have your image considered for inclusion in the Critique Forum. It does not mean you will automatically receive critiques here.
